The teaser trailer shows moments like Queen Hilling visiting Anne, a duel between young Desha and Ouken, and Bojji being approached by strange, colorful creatures. The returning staff includes Yousuke Hatta as director, Makoto Fuchigami as chief episode director, Taku Kishimoto as series composer, Atsuko Nozaki as character designer and chief animation director, Yuuji Kaneko as art director, Satoshi Hashimoto as color designer, Noriyuki Ueda as photography director, and MAYUKO as music composer. Osamu Murata is replacing Maki Kawake as sub-character designer, and Kazuto Izumida is no longer serving as Ueda’s co-photography director. Wit Studio is the animation production company. Ranking of Kings is based on the manga by Sousuke Touka, which began in 2017 and has 14 tankoubon volumes as of August 2022. It is serialized on Manga Hack with tankoubon volumes published under Kadokawa’s BEAM COMIX label. Booklive’s English release was suspended earlier this year due to typographical and translation erroes.
